Carrying the theme “RISE XXI: Radiating New Horizons,” the United Architects of the Philippines Graduate Auxiliary (UAPGA) took a significant step forward with its first General Assembly and National Induction Ceremony, held at Red Hotel, August 16.

UAP National Officers, distinguished guest speakers, former UAPGA leaders, and the 33rd UAPSA Managing Committee graced the event, inspiring architecture graduates and young professionals nationwide as chapter leaders gathered to discuss plans, address concerns, and strengthen unity under the shared call to rise toward a new era of service and collaboration.

“Rise means continuity; rise means elevating what is needed. Rise means evaluating and improving what is present. Rise means planning ahead for the future of the organization. To the officers, this is your opportunity to rise. To everyone, huwag lang maging bilang, huwag lang maging kabilang, dapat lahat kayo ay maging kabahagi,” expressed UAPGA Chairperson Ar. Jan Philippe Cortes, UAP, in his opening remarks.

Moreover, Reports from the National Executive Vice President, Vice Presidents for Chapters, and the National Executive Director for Internals highlighted the organization’s core values, strategic goals, and its continuing commitment to professionalism and accountability.

“I invite you all to be movers of progress. This fiscal year, allow me to lead you into a new era of UAP. Our progress will be anchored on three pillars: justice to the profession, missionary initiatives, and member empowerment. Each pillar contributes uniquely yet works in harmony toward our shared vision of a sustainable future for the Philippine built environment,” emphasized UAP National President Ar. Jonathan Manalad, FUAP.

Further, the ceremony also featured the induction and pinning rites, the valedictory address of Ar. Michael Cydrick M. Sesaldo, UAP, and the symbolic turnover of the gavel to the new UAPGA National President Emmanuel de Luna, marking the beginning of another chapter in the organization’s continuing rise.

Adorned in shades of teal and silver, the UAPGA RISE XXI Term radiates with the promise of a transformative year defined by strengthened connections, holistic growth, and a united pursuit to elevate the profession while serving the architectural community with purpose and passion.
